Free plan vs 14-day trial

QR Code Generator PRO has no free plan. Its pricing page offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and after that you continue by adding payment details. linqr works the other way round: the Free plan is the product, not a preview of it.

• linqr Free: 3 active dynamic codes, unlimited scans and link changes, logo, colors, shapes and frames, PNG, JPG, WEBP and SVG up to 2048 px, and basic stats. No trial, no card, no expiration date on codes.
• QR Code Generator PRO trial: the full product for 14 days. According to its help center, when the trial ends dynamic codes are deactivated and point to a service page instead of your link. Static codes in the account keep working.

What happens to your codes when you stop paying

With QR Code Generator PRO, dynamic codes depend on an active subscription. Its cancellation article says codes keep redirecting until the end of the paid period and for 30 days after it. Then the account is locked and dynamic codes redirect to a service page. The pricing FAQ also sets a notice period of 30 days before the end of the billing cycle, and the refund article says there are no refunds for early termination.

Prices after the first year

QR Code Generator PRO shows prices by region, and its help center notes that monthly billing is available only for some plans in some regions. As shown on their pricing page on September 25, 2026 (USD, VAT not included):

So a year of Starter on annual billing is about USD 120 for 2 dynamic codes. linqr Pro costs $63.99 a year (or $7.99 a month) for unlimited codes, and if 3 codes are enough, Free costs nothing at all. The full breakdown is on linqr pricing.

Design and print files

Both tools let you add a logo, brand colors and a frame. QR Code Generator PRO downloads PNG, JPG, SVG and EPS; PDF isn't listed. Bulk download is limited to Professional and Enterprise.

linqr gives every plan PNG, JPG, WEBP and SVG up to 2048 px. Pro adds PDF and EPS, 4096 px, and a Print size in centimeters for the print shop. Before you download, a real decoder checks the preview and shows Scans correctly or a warning with a quick fix. linqr has no bulk export.

Scan statistics

QR Code Generator PRO tracks where, when and how often people scan on its paid plans; how long the history is kept per plan isn't stated on the pages we checked. On linqr, stats come with every code: Free shows total and unique scans, a 30-day chart, top 3 countries and devices. Pro keeps 365 days and adds cities, systems, browsers, languages, a day-and-hour heatmap and CSV export. Bots and link previews aren't counted.

Who should pick which

• Pick QR Code Generator PRO if several people manage codes together, you need bulk downloads, or you run 50-250 dynamic codes and want an established platform with static codes as well.
• Pick linqr if you need a handful of editable codes for a menu, business card, poster or packaging, want to start on a free plan with no trial, and prefer a flat price with unlimited codes when you grow.

How to switch to linqr

A printed code can't be moved between services: it holds the other service's short link. You make a new code in linqr's free dynamic QR code generator and replace the print, ideally while the old code still redirects.

1. Copy each code's destination

   In your QR Code Generator PRO account, note where each dynamic code points. If you've lost access, scan the code while it still works and copy the final address from the browser.

2. Paste it into The link to turn into a QR code

   The creator is at the top of this page. Add your logo, colors and a frame, and wait for Scans correctly.

3. Save and download

   Click Download QR code and save to a free account. The first PNG downloads right away; pick SVG for print, or PDF and EPS on Pro.

4. Reprint before the old code stops

   Replace stickers, menus and flyers while your old plan or its 30-day window still redirects. From then on, change the destination in My codes with Change link, with no reprint.
