QR codes for reviews, menus, photos and profiles
You can point the same printed code somewhere else later, say from the summer menu to the fall menu.

What linqr does not do
Every linqr code opens a link that starts with http or https, so linqr doesn't offer:
- Wi-Fi codes. Your phone can show one itself: Android in the network settings under “Share” (Android Help), iPhone in the Passwords app under “Show Network QR Code” (Apple Support).
- vCard codes that save a contact to the phone. Link to your website or LinkedIn profile instead, as shown for a QR code for business cards.
- Text message, phone call, email or payment codes (PayPal, Venmo and the like). The phone, email and Wi-Fi icons in the Logo tab are just pictures.
- File hosting. You can't upload a PDF, menu or photos to us: put the file on Google Drive, Dropbox or your own site and paste the link, as in a QR code for a PDF.
- Bulk generation, an API or a custom short domain. Every code is made in the generator, and its short link starts with onsonara.com/q/.

What can a QR code link to?
Anything with a web address: your Google reviews, a restaurant menu, a wedding photo album, an Instagram profile, a YouTube video, a PDF or a sign-up form. A linqr code always opens a link, and you can change that link later, so one printed code can serve the next campaign too.
Can a QR code open a file or a social profile?
Yes, as long as the file or profile has its own link. Put a PDF or a photo album on Google Drive, Dropbox or your website and share it so it opens without signing in. Social profiles have a fixed address you can copy from the app. If the file moves to a new address, just change the link in the code.
Can I make a Wi-Fi or vCard QR code?
Not with linqr. Our codes always open a link, while Wi-Fi and vCard codes store the data inside the code itself. Your phone can show a Wi-Fi code for you: Android under “Share” in the network settings, iPhone under “Show Network QR Code” in the Passwords app. Instead of a vCard, link to a contact page or your LinkedIn profile.
Can one printed QR code serve different purposes over time?
Yes. A linqr code holds a short link, so you can point the same printed code at a new page whenever your needs change: a lunch menu at noon, a review page after the season, a sign-up form for the next event. Open My codes, click Change link and save. Scan stats stay with the code across every change.
Should each table, flyer or location get its own QR code?
If you want to know which one works, yes. Stats count scans per code, not per place, so one code on a flyer and a yard sign gives a single total. Make a separate code for each placement, even if they all open the same link, and name them in My codes. The Free plan covers 3 active codes; Pro removes the limit.
Can a QR code open a Google Maps location or an app store page?
Yes, because both have ordinary web links. Copy the share link of your place in Google Maps, or the address of your app on the App Store or Google Play, and paste it into the generator. The phone opens the map or store page after the scan. If the location or app changes, update the link instead of reprinting.
