Canva is a full design editor with its own static and dynamic QR codes, but on Free and Pro its dynamic codes carry the Canva logo, and scan insights need Canva Business. linqr only makes dynamic QR codes, with your own logo and scan stats on the free plan, and the code drops into any Canva design as an SVG.

What Canva's QR codes do well
Canva's big advantage is that the code lives where your design lives. The QR code generator page and help center describe two tools: static codes and dynamic codes.
- Static codes are free and never include the Canva logo.
- Dynamic codes are available on Canva Free too, with patterns and corner styles on every plan. If you set no expiry date, Canva says the code has no end date.
- On Business you also get an expiry date with a fallback URL and can let collaborators edit the code, features linqr doesn't have.
- You place the code, the headline and the photo in one editor, with templates for flyers, menus and cards.
Canva also notes that a code may be deactivated if the linked content doesn't meet its platform guidelines, a rule most redirect services have in some form.
The Canva logo on dynamic codes
This is the most visible difference. Canva's help center says dynamic codes on the Free, Pro and Education plans include the Canva logo by default, and removing or replacing it needs Business or Enterprise. Your own logo in the code also requires Business, Enterprise or Nonprofit.
linqr never puts its logo in your code. On every plan, Free included, you upload your own logo or pick a quick icon, choose colors and shapes, and add a frame with your own label, such as “MENU” or “SCAN ME”. A real decoder checks the preview and shows Scans correctly before you download.
Scan statistics
Canva calls its scan stats Insights: total scans, unique scans, locations and device types. According to its help center, Insights is available on Business, Enterprise and Nonprofit, and Free and Pro users see an upgrade prompt.
On linqr, stats come with every code. Free shows total and unique scans, a 30-day chart, top 3 countries and devices. Pro keeps 365 days and adds cities, systems, browsers, languages, a day-and-hour heatmap and CSV export. Bots and link previews aren't counted.
Price and what you pay for
Canva's pricing page shows prices in your local currency, so check it for your country. Business is priced per person, and you pay for the whole design suite, not only for QR codes; if you already use Canva Business for design, its QR features come included.
linqr is a QR code tool only. Free costs nothing for 3 active codes with your own logo and basic stats. Pro is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year for unlimited codes, PDF and EPS files and full stats; see linqr pricing. linqr codes have no expiration date, as described in QR codes with no expiration date. The terms of service, linked in the footer, set out what happens to linqr codes when Pro ends. What happens to Canva's dynamic codes after a paid plan ends isn't stated on the pages we checked.
Use both: design in Canva, code from linqr
For many people the honest answer isn't either-or. Keep designing in Canva, make the dynamic code in linqr, and place the SVG in your Canva design. You get Canva's editor and templates, plus a code with your own logo, stats and a link you can change without touching the design again. When you change the link in linqr, you don't re-upload anything. The SVG in Canva, the PDF at the print shop and the printed flyers all go to the new address right away.
Who should pick which
- Canva's QR codes make sense if your team already pays for Canva Business: your own logo, Insights, expiry dates and shared editing are included, all inside the editor.
- A static Canva code is fine for a link that will never change, with no Canva logo.
- linqr fits if you're on Canva Free or Pro and want a dynamic code without the Canva logo, with your own logo and scan stats at no cost, or you also use the code outside Canva.

Scan the design on screen, then a test print, with two phones. Later, change the destination in My codes with Change link.

Why does my Canva dynamic QR code have the Canva logo?
Because Canva adds its logo to dynamic codes on the Free, Pro and Education plans by default, according to its help center on September 25, 2026. Can I set an expiry date on a QR code in Canva or linqr?

Does a linqr code look out of place in a Canva design?
Not if you match it. In linqr you choose the colors, module shapes, logo and frame label before downloading, so the code fits your Canva palette. Keep strong contrast between the code and background, and wait for Scans correctly in the preview before you download the SVG.
